Barratt Asset Management is headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, and was formed in July 2010. BAM specializes in the acquisition and management of multifamily apartment communities. From humble beginnings, BAM has grown from the management of a few small properties to over $250 million in total assets under management and ownership.
IVAN BARRATT, CPM ®
FOUNDER AND CEO
Ivan Barratt is a multifamily unit owner and syndicator who specializes in FHA and Agency-financed projects. Since 2015, Ivan Barratt has raised nearly $60 million in equity, acquired over 2,500 units and grown Barratt Asset Management (BAM) to a best-in-class; vertically integrated, asset and property management firm. Today, Ivan focuses his time on equity finance, acquisitions and company strategy. Currently, his companies manage well over $250 million in assets, comprising nearly 3,500 units.
PRESIDENT AND COO
Adam Ehret oversees acquisitions, debt financing, and asset management of all properties. Additionally, Adam is responsible for the oversight of all capital projects completed during ownership. Prior to joining BAM, Adam worked as a multifamily investment broker for Cushman & Wakefield. His experience includes: market rate, student housing, distressed (foreclosure, DIL, receivership) and affordable (LIHTC, USDA) assets.
DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION
Jerry Hyatt currently serves as BAM’S Director of Maintenance and Construction. Jerry oversees and manages daily operations of the maintenance department, vendors, and contractors. He brings over 20 years of single family, multifamily, and commercial maintenance and construction experience. Jerry is actively involved in the Indiana Apartment Association and has instructed courses for the CAMT (certified apartment maintenance technician) program/designation. He has overseen a portfolio of 29 properties and 2,400 plus units, with a mix of multifamily homes and commercial space. He specializes in electrical, HVAC, and renovations. Jerry is committed to delivering a solid product and complete customer service.
EMILEE MEYERS, MBA
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS
As the Director of Finance & Operations for Barratt Asset Management, Emilee oversees the company’s financial analysis and reporting efforts. She is responsible for developing best practices and performing managerial audits in order to recommend proactive strategies which propel the firm’s growth. Emilee monitors the preparation of client reporting packages and coordinates investor relations activities to serve the firm’s sophisticated client base. Prior to joining Barratt Asset Management, Emilee was a Property Accountant and Project Manager at Summit Realty Group. Her extensive experience in the Real Estate industry has allowed her to develop a well-rounded skill set and has made her an invaluable asset to the team at BAM. Emilee holds a BS in Finance from the University of Southern Indiana and an MBA from Butler University.
CATHERINE AZAR, ARM®, CAPS
DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
Catherine Azar brings over 15 years of Multifamily Property Management experience to the Barratt Asset Management team. After receiving her Bachelor’s from the University of Northern Colorado, she began a career in Property Management in Denver, focusing on multi-site management and project acquisitions. Catherine has spent the last 5 years developing and expanding her professional skill set with managerial responsibility for more than 6,000 units around the Midwest. As Director of Property Management Catherine is responsible for the oversight of BAM’s current portfolio. Responsibilities include budgeting, cash-flow analysis, revenue management, contracts and negotiation, acquisitions, and special projects.
Catherine holds the ARM professional designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, and recently achieved the prestigious CAPS
Certification from the National Apartment Association, which is an impressive industry accomplishment. Catherine worked for the Gene B. Glick Company prior to becoming an invaluable member of BAM’s team.
DIRECTOR OF HR AND IT
Dimitry oversees the Human Resources and Information Technology company-wide. He is responsible for the development and management of compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, technology, and telecommunications. With his education and experience, Dimitry has developed a keen sense for Human Resources and Technology. He is a seasoned Human Resources and Information Technology professional with almost a decade of experience. Dimitry has experienced and excelled in various industries and business cultures. Dimitry is a multifaceted professional who is dedicated to delivering innovative and exceptional culture and technology.
