Well, we’re not allowed to give tax advice; but, here’s what I do personally: Under the current tax plan I can generate lots of losses (cost segregation losses) on new deals that cover over gains generated by the sale of existing deals. By doing it in the same calendar year it becomes way more tax efficient. In short, I continue to buy more real estate. It’s a fun game and every now and then I have to pay some taxes, but not much so far…

How can I avoid long term capital gains tax with a fund?
